KRONOS - REVIEWING AND SUBMITTING YOUR TIMESHEET

We have come to the end of the first pay period being recorded in KRONOS and wanted to provide some guidance.  Please remember that we are still in the testing phase so you must still submit a paper timesheet for this pay period and must continue to use a paper timesheet in October.

Exempt Employees - There is nothing you need to do for KRONOS.  Please do not worry if you get emails saying that your timesheet has been approved or rejected.  KRONOS is not being used to track your daily work hours but will be used in the future for additional responsibilities that are paid an an hourly rate such as ESS.  We will provide additional guidance when it is time to begin tracking those hours in KRONOS.
Non-Exempt Employees - Once your workday is complete, you must review and submit your timesheet in KRONOS.  I have provided a short screencast for you to review.  Please review the screencast and then complete the following steps:
  • Ensure all absences for the pay period are recorded in Aesop.
  • Review your timesheet for accuracy.
  • Submit timesheet change requests if necessary.
  • Once all timesheet change requests have been approved, submit your timesheet.
  • Your paper timesheet and KRONOS timesheet should match.

KRONOS - NEW USER GUIDE

We are excited to begin the KRONOS journey with Nelson County School District.  We are committed to providing transparency and clarity in our payroll processes and truly believe that this is step one in that process.

September 16th will begin day one of our parallel testing phase.  It is essential that you set up your password prior to that day to ensure things run smoothly on Monday.  I've provided a slide deck and screencast below to walk you through the process of setting up your password for the first time.  Please complete this process as soon as possible so that we can resolve any issues with clocking in and out before Monday.

2019-2020 PERSONNEL TRAININGS & NOTIFICATIONS

HELLO NCS COMMUNITY MEMBERS!

The mandatory personnel trainings and notifications for the 2019-2020 school year are available. Some of these trainings are housed in the Safe Schools video training site while some will be rolled out either by your supervisor/principal or from HR in the form of video screencasts.

The links for the comprehensive list of trainings and notifications are below:

Link to Written Instructions
(note: uploading certificates to Talent Ed can be tricky---using either the written or screencast is very beneficial)
At the completion of each training module or notification document, you will be directed to your Talent Ed Personnel File to upload certificates and/or input electronic signature acknowledgement.

Because we are new to the Talent Ed Digital Personnel File, it will be very helpful to view the screencast.

If you have any type of difficulty with this process, we ask that you complete a Personnel Training CARE Form.

REIMAGINING POSSIBILITIES WITH DIGITAL PERSONNEL FILES

HELLO NELSON COUNTY LEADERS!

Over the next few days, your principal or supervisor will be rolling out digital instructions for logging in to your new digital personnel file in a system called Talent Ed.

You will need to complete this process on a computer. Your phone will not provide the functionality needed.

Two personnel tasks have been placed in your digital personnel file:
1. Emergency Contact Information
2. Letter of Intent

Jennifer Hagan, our new Personnel Specialist has prepared technical instructions in two formats.
